The TCSG-4 is ideal for locations where there is not enough space to slide a gate (between buildings, alleys, etc.). The TYM-6550-SW gate operator is commercial grade, utilizing an actuating arm design that is uniquely configured to power the TCSG-4.

What drive/operator systems and control options are compatible with the TCSG-4?
In order for the TCSG-4 to provide crash protection it must open out (towards the unsecured side of an opening), which limits the operator options to automate it. The TYM-6550-SW operator is specifically designed to power the gate panel outward to open while residing on the secured side of the opening, providing security and safety.
How does the gate’s construction absorb kinetic energy from a 15,000 pound vehicle impact at 30 mph?
The TCSG-4 relies on steel stanchions, an engineered crash beam running horizontally across the gate panel and specific concrete foundation designs to absorb the vehicle’s impact. Through engineering studies/calculations, testing and extrapolating results from previous tests the design of those components are formulated. The gate panel and support posts do not contribute significantly to the crash system’s ability to absorb impact.
