Airport Security Gate Applications

Security Gates

Some of those applications include the need for very large gate systems, ensuring the system has enough clearance to accommodate aircraft service vehicles. Runway security also results in the need for specialized large gate systems, such as the Box Frame Roller Gate that can span the width of a runway up to 500 feet wide.

Airport Fencing

TYMETAL provides a broad range of security products, including crash-rated cable fencing. The crash-rated fencing can be placed next to — in front or behind — a fence line of any type. It transforms that otherwise ordinary fence into fencing that can withstand the impact of a 15,000-pound vehicle traveling at 30, 40 or 50 mph. TYMETAL’S crash-rated fencing was crash tested, resulting in a rating of ASTM F2656 M50-P1 (K12). M30 and M40 versions with P1 or P2 penetration ratings are also available. The cable fence can be installed as “stand alone” fencing, as well.
