The TCG-12 Cantilever Slide Gate is ASTM F2656-07-M50-P1 certified (equivalent to Department of State K12). Will stop a 15,000 pound vehicle traveling at 50 mph within 1 meter. It is most suitable for applications requiring a higher level of security, having lower daily cycle rates. Trolly wheels and enclosed track system are elevated. No ground track, ground wheels or overhead support needed.

The TCG-12 incorporates a steel gate frame and crash beam. Combined with engineered steel stanchions and reinforced concrete footings, the system achieved an M50-P1 (ASTM F2656) crash test rating. It can stop a 15,000 pound vehicle traveling at 50 mph within 1 meter. It is recommended for higher security applications, having low daily cycle needs.
What operator system is recommended for the TCG-12?
Because the gate panel can weigh more than 4,500 pounds for an 18 foot clear opening width, the gate operator must be rated for at least that capacity. Additionally, it’s recommended that the operator includes a soft start/stop feature to prevent shock loads. The TYMETAL TYM-HYD-80 more than meets that criteria.

The TYM-HYD-80 operator incorporates inherent sensing and is compatible with loop detectors, photo eyes, reversing edges and presence sensors that detect obstructions in the gates travel path. Control options include keypad, card reader, push button consols and remote operation interfaces.
