Specification Types of Crash-Rated Fencing
The TCF-CR-50P1 crash-rated fence meets ASTM F-2656-15 (M50-P1) and is listed on the Department of Defense Anti-Ram Vehicle Barrier List. Install it as a “stand alone” barrier or behind a perimeter fence for a less obtrusive appearance while still maintaining maximum security. Alternatively, choose one of TYMETAL’s finishes and incorporate decorative rail coverings for the cables to achieve a sleek look. It’s also available in ASTM F2656 M30 (K4), M40 (K8) and other M50 (K12) crash rated configurations.
This crash fence can be shipped as hot-dipped galvanized or zinc primed with epoxy paint or powder coated. The selection of finishes allows you to achieve a pleasing aesthetic in any setting, proving that crash-certified fences can also look stylish.

The TYMETAL TCF M50 P2 K12 fence is certified to ASTM F2656 M50/K12 standards, confirming it will stop a 15,000-lb vehicle at 50 mph. The P2 penetration classification means the vehicle is stopped within a defined distance beyond the fence face that is slightly greater than the P1 limit, while still meeting the K12 certification threshold.

Following a K12-rated impact event, the affected fence section, posts, and foundations must be taken out of service and inspected by TYMETAL-qualified personnel. All deformed structural members must be replaced with TYMETAL-specified components — field repair of crash-rated structural steel is not acceptable. The adjacent fence sections should also be inspected for load transfer damage.
